About Us:

In 2006 I moved to Spokane from Whidbey Island, WA. Since then I've made it my goal to bring a slice of the comic book & pop culture world to the Inland Northwest. As a freelance artist it's also been a personal goal of mine to support local businesses & provide an affordable event for all ages.

In 2016 the Northwest comic community lost a dear friend with the passing of local artist Jesse Acosta.

Jesse was a longtime exhibitor at both Lilac City and Spokane Comicons, and was a founding member of the Spokane Comicsmiths' Guild.

To honor Jesse and his contributions to our community, the Lilac City Comicon and Lake City Comicon have established a Graphic Design scholarship in his name at his Alma Mater, Spokane Falls Community College aka SFCC.

Created in 2013 by local artist Matt Brazee & Lilac City Comicon Founder Nathan O'Brien based on Nathan's real life cat, Edward. Sprocket flies around & protects an alternate reality of Spokane, WA. Even though Sprocket was created as the mascot for Lilac City Comicon in Spokane, WA, Sprocket is known to been seen in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho for Lake City Comicon year after year.

Sprocket has had 5 self titled comics self published via Kickstarter from 2013-2018. These comics are very valuable and rare. If you already own a copy then you are rich beyond any dollar value.
